Sybase has a great product in IQ but they have priced it out of the reach of any but a few companies.
Less cost means more units guys!!
In Australia the lowest cost you can get an IQ license is $48000 !!!! If you want multiple copies on multiple servers well…
You can buy a hell of a lot of database for that.
I would have thought that IQ would make the perfect back end for mobile data entry. Especially on slates (pads). Relatively low volume highly qualified complex transactions submitted. With the SQL Anywhere interface it should be a no brainer. Well, except Sybase have priced the product out of reach.
